The Death Cure by:James Dashner

Is an epic conclusion to a very fantastic series. I feel like the books just got better and better. The Maze Runner was a wonderful concept but I didn't feel like there were any surprises. The Scorch Trials were crazy weird and kinda intense. It was weird to all of the sudden find myself in a Zombie book unexpectedly:). It was super awesome. And the Death Cure was the very best, it had so much emotion, action, and an absolutely amazing ending. It was a beautiful story, very strongly recommended:)

Opinion: The first book really is gripping. It creates a beautiful world that I would love to live in. She has a wonderful way of creating an existence of creatures and situations that is epic but also very believable. I couldn't get enough of their world.

The Story: After Sixteen year old Tessa Gray's aunt and caregiver dies she receives a letter from her older brother asking her to make the long voyage from her home in New York to London England. Filling her with hope that she can resume her normal life with the comfort of her only living relative.
But, when she arrives in London she's greeted by Mrs. Dark and Mrs. Black. The "dark sisters" she finds, are less than agreeable. As they force her to find her undiscovered secret ability she tumbles through a life changing shift of discovering her hidden talent of shape shifting. As the story unfolds she creates new friends and allies called the Shadowhunters. Set in the Victorian London underworld, in the prequel series to The Mortal Instruments, Shadowhunters are barely winning against the forces of evil.

Opinion: Clockwork Angel was phenomenal. Though I did find that the book ended leaving me with more questions than answers. It was beautifully entrancing. The character development was also wonderful! You end up so connected with the odd family of the shadow hunters. The main character Tessa is so relatable and honestly a wonderful heroine. This epic story would make a wonderful movie:) I'd give it a full five stars. I cant wait for Clockowrk Prince!

Specials by:Scott Westerfeld

Specials was interesting. I wasn't loving the direction the second book was going with the story but I was hoping that it would surprise me; it didn't. I didn't hate it but I wasn't impressed either. Westerfeld is a talented author don't get me wrong I felt fully engulfed in their world the entire time, Specials just didn't have the emotional twist that I was expecting. What's almost worse is it felt like he tried to make it such and instead I was just disappointed.

Pretties By: Scott Westerfeld

Pretties was a enticing sequel to Uglies. Unfortunately, I did feel like it was just a filler for the third book. I loved it don't get me wrong but it felt almost like a push. I think that Specials (the third book) could either turn this in to a fabulous series or ruin it.

Again though, Westerfeld has wonderful character development. You honestly feel connected to this terrifying world of extreme socialism. Mostly, it allows you fall in love with our world all over again. I felt like Uglies was really more about finding beauty... real beauty. Where this book I feel is more about Tally Youngblood finding her own cure to being "pretty headed". I love the verbiage of the pretties! I think that was a great accent to the pretty society, very pretty-making:)

And the fire that burns in Cassia doesn't allow the submission it would take to go gently. This book is a beautiful discovery of learning to fight. Fighting for freedom of who to love, how to live, even how to die. She comes from a place where the government has founded a society of "perfection". But, Condie went about it in a very wonderful way. The sweetest purest moments and the deepest longing is played out in Matched so delicately written. Condie also has such a talent for giving so much emotion to her characters you feel so attatched to each of them by the end. The gravity of the absolute control really sneaks up on you and you find yourself fighting for Cassia to find freedom.

I loved this story and I loved the author. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an easy read yet a beautiful story:)
